Wilderness Medicine Interest Group and Climbing Club
The Wilderness Medicine Interest Group and Climbing Club exists to promote knowledge and skill development in the field of wilderness medicine and to help foster and sustain love for wild spaces. We coordinate group outings and skills workshops and serve as a repository of knowledge and experience for those looking to increase their comfort in the outdoors.

Camping/Rafting trip
- Ohiopyle State Park
- Usually mid-September
- Typically two nights camping with a morning or afternoon spent rafting
- For those who don't want to raft, there is climbing/bouldering, lots of hiking, and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater
Ski trip
- Sometime in winter (pending snow conditions)
- Typically in upstate New York
Mini-courses in Wilderness Medicine
- Navigation
- Making a med kit
- Scene safety and patient assessment
- Environmental injuries
- Splinting and evacuation
- Full day mini AWLS training session in late winter
