Humanitarian Medicine Interest Group (HMIG)
Our Mission:
The HMIG seeks to increase awareness of global humanitarian issues and to raise funds for the efforts of medically oriented non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that deliver aid to those affected by conflicts, epidemics, and natural disasters. We promote student and community involvement in the work of international humanitarian NGOs and encourage students to pursue employment with NGOs post-graduation.
Our Methods:
Our group offers students the opportunity to explore international humanitarian issues through informational sessions and fundraising campaigns, and empowers students to provide care in low-resource environments through skills workshops.
